we have some plans for this weekend, but things are still up in the air.
this will be our first memorial day weekend together ever.
the hubby has always had to work it.
until now that is!
anywho, i am wishing all my peeps a fun and safe weekend!

Just a quick note

I am sooooooo sick of being sick. But I am grateful I found my green basketball shorts to low ride during the rest of my pregnancy.

a wreathy wreath

this is my new wreath i made for our little abode.
inspiration came one evening after taking poundcake on a walk and noticing all of the cute wreaths on the other homes around mine, i was motivated to finally make a spring/summer wreath for my front door.
it's something that i had been wanting to do for months.
and luckily i had all of the materials on hand so i didn't have to spend any money to make it.
i quite enjoy how it turned out.
i am obsessed with gardening this year. it brings me such satisfaction and it makes me so happy.
it is something i truly love to do. i didn't think i would want to do much this year in the way of gardening  since i am large with child, but i have enjoyed it so much more than i anticipated.
anywho, all that was to say i was excited when i found my little "make a garden out of life" sign. it had to be included. and i thought the added pom poms added such a fun touch. and of course i made a little banner, since i am kind of obsessed with making those lately.
so here is my wreathy wreath for this wonderful time of year!

to my poundcake

i could not be more proud to be your mom.
you make my life better every day.
i love your energy, smile, smell, chubby cheeks, your love of twirling and love of butter among many other beautiful things.
you have shown me how precious life is.
i thank you for that.
i hope as a mom i can make you feel loved and secure.
love you always little one.

mothers day cards

yesterday poundcake and i got everything ready for mother's day in regards to mine and mr. p's mom.
we made them each their very own card and poundcake had such a good time helping me pick out what we should put on each card. she may end up being quite the little crafter. if she ever gets out of the i want to eat buttons stage that is. no worries she didn't eat any buttons and so far never has.
i made sure to fill each card full of plenty of pictures for each grandma to enjoy of our little one.
pictures always seem to make a grandma happy. and since i take pictures everyday i am glad to share them with people who appreciate them like i do.
on another note, these cards were super easy to make.
have you ever noticed the card making kits at cosco? that is where i get mine and i love that i have everything in one spot to choose from and poundcake loves it too. anytime i have a card to make i enlist her help. she even scribbled little notes inside of each card. got to love it.
i am much less stressed now that i have everything ready for mother's day.
did any of you make anything special for mother's day this year?
or did you send flowers?
i have spent almost every mother's day making floral arrangements and this is the first year that i haven't made one.
it feels a little strange.

i love you pillow

so yesterday was a not fun day.
it was one of those days when anything that could go wrong did go wrong.
poundcake is sick with a cold as well. i hate to see my baby sick. i want to do anything and everything in my power to make the sickness go away and just hold her and give her a million kisses.
well by that night when it was time for her to go to bed i was drained but not tired to the point of sleeping.
i decided i needed a quick project to cheer myself up.
my grandma had embroidered "i love you" for me and a couple of months ago she gave it to me to frame or make into a pillow or do whatever i wanted with it. so i dug through my fabric and found a cute coordinating fabric and made me a pillow.
 isn't my grandma crazy talented?!
i love it! and it is so fun on my couch.
as for the coordinating fabric i chose a pink, orange and brown polka dot number that i got at hobby lobby a few months back.
my cute betty rebel was totally wanting to be in the picture and she makes the picture ten times cuter don't you think?
also check out her hair cut.
she is ready for the warm weather. oh i love her face!
too cute of a betty rebel.

bonnie's wedding flowers

last week was super busy. or was it the week before that. see all the weeks are becoming a blur to me in my third trimester of pregnancy state. and short term memory. gone baby gone.
any who, i did flowers for the blushing bride to be bonnie who held her wedding at the grand america in slc, ut. here is a peek at some of the flowers.
the first three pictures are of bonnie's bridal bouquet.
she wanted all peonies with feathers and pearls.
we had our fingers crossed that the peonies would be available in time for her wedding and luckily they were!
i wish i had a better picture of the bridesmaids bouquets. they sure were lovely.
the grooms bout.
groomsmen bouts.
fathers bouts.

congrats to bonnie and justin!
